Marcin de Kaminski

Civil Rights Defenders

Marcin de Kaminski is the Director of Security and Innovation at the international human rights organization Civil Rights Defenders, managing several teams focusing on security supports to human rights defenders globally. Among support modalities hosted in Marcins portfolio are the Civil Rights Defenders rapid response mechanism the Emergency Fund, the community security system the Natalia Project and the community building programme the Defenders’ Days.

Before joining Civil Rights Defenders in 2018, Marcin worked as a representative for freedom of expression/ICT at the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida), focusing on digital security and internet freedom issues. Marcin has a background as a legal sociologist and internet researcher, with special expertise within the sweet spot of technology and human rights.
